The Helmsman's Rigger Shirt: Founder's Run
$165.00
Built for the Great Lakes. Engineered to Outlast the Storm.
This isn’t "fashion." It’s a piece of maritime equipment you happen to wear.
Most workwear is built for a warehouse; the Helmsman’s Rigger Shirt was born for the deck of a freighter in November. We took the DNA of traditional rigger shirts and over-engineered every stitch, every snap, and every fiber until it met the North Coast Standard.
The Material: 424 GSM Technical Armor
We rejected three rounds of "standard" denim to find this: a massive 12.5oz (424 GSM) technical triblend. We fused the rugged soul of long-staple cotton with the moisture-wicking cooling of Tencel™ and a hint of Elastane for a full range of motion. It feels like a shield, but moves like a second skin.
The Architecture: Zero-Compromise Utility
The 4-Inch Gap: We tightened the snap-spacing to exactly 4 inches. No "button-gape" when you’re reaching across an engine block; just a clean, secure seal that breathes when you want it to.
Industrial Hardware: Custom-spec, corrosion-resistant brass snaps designed for wet hands and cold mornings.
The Structural "Box X": Every stress point is reinforced with oversized, high-density Box X stitching. If you manage to tear this, you’ve probably had a very bad day on the water.
Internal Ventilation: Integrated underarm mesh zones to dump heat during heavy wrenching without compromising the outward silhouette.
The Pedigree
Every Helmsman’s Rigger is part of our limited Founder’s Run. After a year of firing factories that couldn't handle the spec, we moved production to the heart of Mexico’s technical textile corridor. This is the result of a "Quality First" obsession.
This is the last shirt you’ll ever need to buy. Unless you lose it in a shipwreck.
